Celina Jaitley moves court against ‘narcissistic’ husband; Accused him of domestic violence, cruelty

Actress Celina Jaitley has filed a domestic violence complaint against her “narcissistic” husband Peter Haag in a local court here, alleging that she faced severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse at his hands.

The petition came up for hearing on Tuesday (November 25, 2025) before Judicial Magistrate SC Tade, who issued a notice to Haag and posted the matter for hearing on December 12.

Ms Jaitley, in her application filed through Karanjawala & Co law firm, accused Mr Haag of domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act.

The 47-year-old actress claimed that she faced severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse by her husband, forcing her to leave her home in Austria and return to India.

In a post on social media on Tuesday (November 25, 2025), the former Miss India said that she never thought that she would be left alone in the middle of the “strongest and most turbulent storm”, but she would continue to fight against all odds.

Ms Jaitley, who acted in films like ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’, ‘No Entry’ and ‘Jaansheen’, married Austria-based Haag in September 2010, and the couple have three children.

In her petition in the court, she alleged that after marriage, her husband stopped her from working.

“Defendant [Mr. Haag] Is a narcissistic, self-absorbed person. He is short-tempered and has a tendency to be a drunkard, who is constantly harassing the applicant. [Ms. Jaitly] Stress,” the petition said.

Ms Jaitley has sought a direction that her estranged husband pay ₹50 crore as compensation and ₹10 lakh per month as maintenance.

She has also sought to meet her three children, who are currently living with their father in Austria.

The actress listed several instances where her husband had physically and verbally abused her.

The petition also said that Mr Haag had filed a divorce petition before an Austrian court in August this year.

Ms Jaitley has claimed that her husband and his lawyers misled the court in Austria, and that she was left helpless because she was not fluent in the language and was not allowed access to her lawyer.

In her post on Instagram, Ms Jaitley said, “I had never imagined that amidst the most intense storm of my life, I would be fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system. I never imagined that a day would come when all the pillars on which the roof of my world once stood, my parents, my brother, my children and the one who had promised to stand by me, love me, take care of me and bear every hardship with me, Will happen without.”

The actor further added, “Life took away everything. The people I trusted were gone. The promises I believed in were broken in silence.”

In her post, Ms Jaitley said that as a soldier’s daughter who has been brought up on courage, discipline and patience, she will continue to fight.

Ms Jaitley’s brother (retired) Vikrant Kumar Jaitley has been in detention in the Middle East since 2024, and has appealed to the government to help bring him back.

She wrote, “My priority is to fight for my soldier brother, to fight for the love of my children, to fight for my dignity. A DV complaint has been filed against all the atrocities and abandonment inflicted on me… Since my case is sub-judice, I am unable to make any comments at this time. I request you to contact my legal representatives for any official information or statement.”
