Celine Dion was slammed

The allegations surfaced on October 11, just a day after Celine, 56, released a song from her Olympic performance, Hymn à l’Amour – Live from the Olympic Games Paris 2024, on the streaming platform. This song was made famous by French singer Edith Piaf.

A sound engineer, speaking on condition of anonymity, claimed, “It was 100% playback, you could hear it from the first notes.”

The report has left fans of the My Heart Will Go On singer angry. “You don’t have more important information to repeat?” one supporter asked on X, formerly known as Twitter. “What is the need to tarnish it, defame it? We don’t care! You won’t be able to take away the emotion we felt at that moment. Someone else wrote, Celine Dion’s singing performance is commendable.

“We don’t care about your disputes! Congratulations to Celine Dion on her performance!” Someone else wrote.

Others said they wouldn’t care if the Grammy winner’s performance was pre-recorded. One fan commented, “Who cares – she was great either way.”

about performance

In July, singer Celine Dion made a powerful comeback to the stage at the Paris Olympics 2024, after battling Stiff Person Syndrome. After a three-year hiatus due to major health issues, he performed at the opening ceremony of the Olympics, leaving the audience speechless.

As for the performance, Celine was on top of the Eiffel Tour in Paris as she sang Hymn à l’Amour by Edith Piaf. Their performance was the final act of the opening ceremony. She wore an exquisite high-neck gown for her performance, covered in crystals, and its long sleeves were stitched with a cape and beaded tassels.

The singer was seen holding back tears during the performance. This was his first performance since leaving his Las Vegas residency in 2021 to focus on his health. Multiple reports suggested the singer was paid a whopping $2 million for her performance, however, a representative for the Olympics said, “Contrary to some media reports, artists will not be paid for their performances at the Paris 2024 Games ceremonies. No fee will be paid”.
