Chaitra Navratri 2025 Days 3: Who is Mala Kushmanda?
Mother Kushmanda is revered for her bright and divine appearance. It is believed that he built the universe with his cosmic smile, impressing life in it. The name ‘Kushmanda’ is derived from ‘Ku,’ heat, ‘and’ Enda, ‘meaning’ slightly hot cosmic eggs, which symbolizes the origin of creation.
The divine energy of Maa Kushmanda is associated with the Sun, the source of energy and the source of life on earth. He is often painted with eight weapons, each placed in different symbolic objects such as bow, arrow, rosary, and nectar, reflects the blessings of strength, knowledge and nutrition.
Devotees perform special rituals and worship legislation to honor Maa Kushmanda. The day starts with a purification ritual, after which a lamp and incense are lit. 1. Wake up early in the morning and clean the house and then wear clean clothes.
2. Durga offers a lamp with desi ghee in front of Matt Idol, and offer flowers or garlands.
3. They should offer Mita paan, betel nut, lame, cardamom, five different fruits and sweets.
4. Read Durga Saptapati Path and Durga Chalisa.
5. Offer bhog prasad and milk products like curd and makhan kheer.
