A bloodshed female ghost out to take revenge – it’s popular representation Yakshi The single, ‘Chanda Yakshi Pattu’ in folk songs, literature, films, etc. is yet to take another popular belief, which has been conceived in a song video using AI and animated visuals.
The song comes in the Spook Rock style, which the track composer Srinesh L. Prabhu says, mix the rock music with a horror theme. Is about the song Yakshi Lives in a dilapidated temple. She loves the heartbeat, a collision, and the sound awakens her from her sleep. But she hunts on the person who plays it. The track tells such a story through some impressive AI and animated visuals.
Alappuzha belongs to Alappuzha and is currently working as an assistant manager with Dhanalakshmi Bank in Thrissur, says that the work was inspired by a poem written by a writer Suresh Narayanan, working with the Kallambalam branch of the same bank. “Since it was sung like a poem, he turned it into a lyrical format. The subject was similar,” Srinesh says, who has released 25 songs so far. “This project is different from my previous tasks in which all other socially relevant topics were based on,” he says.

The track originally mixes the Chanda Beats with a western soundscape. “I have composed the song with different rhythms to express YakshiAnger. Even though the Western scores are used in the background, Melody is vested in the bits of Carnatic Ragas Thodi, Kanakangi and Punagavarali, ”Srinesh says, a special mention of audio engineer Vinath Esthappan who has mixed.
A digital manufacturer Vladimir Tomine has tapped in the immense possibilities of AI Yakshi. He has also done the storyboard with Srinesh. Sopam singer Akhil Yashwant has sung the track.
Sreenesh’s first work was on the 2018 flood. Other videos include ‘Amma’, a Tamil track dedicated to the mothers sung by Sudeep Kumar, ‘Hatha Kunjaram’, a Sanskrit song that addresses the deforestation, and ‘White Dow and Black Barrise’, an English song. ‘Hatha Kunjaram’, which used animation, was chosen by WWW India for a campaign.

‘Aramathilile Kunnurumbu’ was a fun track sung by Jassi Gift that was released during the epidemic. His songs have also touched issues like drug abuse, organ mafia and gender equality. Last year he released the ‘Soundman Anthem’, which celebrated the life and career of Sound designer Rezul Pokakutty.
A self-centered musician, Srinesh, says that composition for films has never been aimed at his purpose. “I have always preferred to use my music to address a social issue. I want to continue doing so. Once an idea strikes me, I work on music, mostly during my journey. Similarly I balance my passion and profession.”
