In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Chandu Champion 2.5 stars out of 5. He wrote, “Chandu Champion could have worked better had the cinematic acting been a little less dramatic and a little more realistic… “To be fair, though, Chandu Champion is brisk and entertaining. It wastes no time in picking up the pace. Such is the nature of the life it presents on screen that it doesn’t get time to pause for breath. The lead actor pushes things forward with all his might, so the exercise doesn’t fall short, as other such films do, due to the worn-out tropes of underdog drama.”
