Over the years, Baro Art has created a name for himself with his generous collection of art works from across the country. The program called Curate, Affordable Art Show by Srila Chatterjee, the founder of Mumbai -based Baro Art, is a platform not only for artists across the country, but also a performance of diverse art forms.
According to Srila, this version of The Affordable Art Show, India in Nature: Tradition and Transformation will include traditional, tribal and contemporary works, as well as water color paintings of Bengaluru. “The idea behind the show is to democratization of art. Since many people are afraid of art galleries, such incidents help them feel comfortable to see comfortably in such a setting,” Srila says, adds to a wide variety of art under one roof.
Keeping in mind their ethos, the work in the cheap art shows of Baro ranges from ₹ 3000 to ₹ 3 lakhs, making it an interesting proposal despite the depth of someone’s pocket.

“We believe in giving people access to happiness. Art should talk to you and at the same time we present the biggest possible array of work, so there is something for everyone,” Srila says.
The members of the Baro will appear at the event to discuss the works on performance with visitors, educating them about contemporary works along with traditional Indian art forms. They will help buyers for the first time, they must need assistance in relation to certification or aesthetics of pieces in their homes.
Srilala continues, “A trend emerged in the early 2000s, where people saw art as an investment, spending a lot of money in the hope that it would be profitable at a later date. We want to show many types of arts that exist in the hope that it will connect a one between the eyes and heart.
The upcoming show will include art forms from all over India, including Thangka and Buddhist art of Ladakh, Fad and Pitchi from Rajasthan, Shola Craft from Bengal and pieces in Kalighat, Gond, Warli and Bhil, as well as Sohra paintings from South India to Jharkhand and art forms.

India will work by about 40 artists in India, with 500 pieces of work on the walls and 500 pieces on the table and 500 pieces on the cloth, in addition to other media such as lenticular prints, mirrors, mixed-media woodwork and photos.
The affordable art show will be held at Bangalore International Center from September 5, from 11 am to September 7, 7 pm. Admission fee.
