New Delhi: As the IPL season comes in full swing, Badi Haveli’s younger Thakuran actress Ishita Ganguly is winning heart-only on-screen, but also with her off-screen cricket enthusiasm. The recent photos secretly show the actress secretly in moments to catch IPL matches amidst her shoot schedule.
Despite her packed calendar, Ishita ensures that she does not miss cheering for her favorite team- Kolkata Knight Riders.
Talking about her love for the game, the actress shared, “Cricket is always my escape, I have enjoyed, and during the IPL season, it turns into a fully developed passion!”
He said, “As a proud Bengali, I have been routing for Kolkata Knight Riders from the first season. There is something magical about cheering for your home team – the connection goes deep.
Even in the midst of tight shoot schedule, Ishita manages the secret in a few overs. “I never remember the opportunity to catch a few overs – even if it is just between the scenes. My makeup room turns into my small cricket zone – I have been streaming my phone match, shutting off the snacks on standby, and often, the crew is also amazing. The crew is amazing. Is it six or a magical from Rasel, we are right, we are right.”
But for Ishita, it is not just about the game – it’s about solidarity that it brings. “That’s what I love the most-the cricket brings everyone together. On the set, we come from different cities, backgrounds and roles-but when KKR is playing, we are just a group of emotional fans who shared snacks, laughter and nail-biting moments. These are simple happiness that makes it special.”
On a lighter note, he jokingly said, “Chamkili has also helped by watching cricket – to defeat one trick or two to defeat his competition, Chana!”
While bright can be caught in all types of plays on-screen, off-screen, the stretch on the set of Badi Haveli Thakurain is about fun, friendship and cricket bonding.
