New Delhi: Chiyaan Vikram thrilled his fans by making the exciting announcement of ‘Thangalan Part 2’ during a thank-you meet in Hyderabad. The first part was released on August 15 and has been widely praised for its performances, especially Vikram’s exceptional portrayal. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan in a pivotal role.
Vikram announced the sequel at an event, which was warmly received by the audience, mirroring the positive response the film received.
Announcing the sequel, Vikram said, “[Pa] Ranjith asked me to mention here that since you all loved ‘Thangalan’ so much, we have already started discussing its sequel and we are planning to make it very soon.”

Thangalalan has emerged as another cinematic spectacle from the South, captivating the audience with its unique story and compelling concepts. Based on the real story of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), which was discovered by the British, who exploited and looted it for their own profit. The music of the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
‘Thangalan’ will release worldwide on August 15, 2024 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
