Chris Brown fights fire with fire in new hip-hop feud with PartyNextDoor: ‘Go on your social media and apologize or…’

Gone are the days when the mention of the word “beef” would take us back to golden memories of the hit Netflix series starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.

Chris Brown and PartyNextDoor’s professional relationship has soured following a new controversy.

2024 is all about the endless cycle of hip-hop controversy, with Kendrick Lamar and Drake embroiled on one side, while many others are embroiled in a war of words on the other. In the latest chapter of the ongoing social media spat, PartyNextDoor, Chris Brown, Jeremih and Bryson Tiller have launched scathing attacks at each other.

The latter trio’s collaboration, “Wait On It”, was probably not to Party’s liking, especially since it featured his ex-girlfriend Desma in the music video. The brand new bad taste attachment further fueled the sour saga that has been brewing between Party and Jeremih since 2016.

However, reports suggest that the two had already resolved the issue. The matter got more complicated in the last few days as the feud between the two escalated even more, as on Thursday, the former reportedly invited the latter to his concert, and a few hours later, Jeremih’s song featuring Tiller and Brown went live.

Chris Brown lashes out at PartyNextDoor as Jeremih and Bryson Tiller collaboration stirs up controversy

Although Bryson and Chris seem to have been distant participants in the controversy, they both got dragged into the nasty feud when the party took to social media to vent their anger and name the trio. One of his now-deleted tweets read, “I’m going to make these bastards cry…” “Bryson Chris; and Jeremih… have the nights of your lives. That bastard went broke making videos at 34. I know 5 RnB singers who went broke.”

Despite the party’s attempts to bury their words, it’s a well-known fallacy that a person’s digital footprint never fully vanishes in this new age. Chris Brown certainly noticed this and the “Resentment” singer eventually warmed up to them.

Chris Brown posted on X/Twitter, “Ni**as sometimes speak without thinking… then call their people and try to take their words back. No ni**as go on your social media and apologize or keep that same energy when you see me.”

Fans also reacted sharply to Brown’s tweet, which broke his long hiatus from social media. “Breezy posted on X for the first time in 5 years and it’s a dig at someone.”

Incidentally, PartyNextDoor’s roots are tied to Drake, as he was the first artist to sign with Drizzy’s OVO Sound record label. One can’t help but wonder if we’ll see a series of similar diss tracks over the next few weeks. By deleting his tweets, Party has taken a leaf out of J Cole’s book to take the high road, while the exact reason for this controversial belligerence (apart from the obvious trouble with girls) remains a mystery.
