Christopher Nolan has high praise for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune 2, calling it a ‘remarkable work’

Christopher Nolan praised the adaptation of Denis Villeneuve’s acclaimed novel.

What did Nolan say about Dune 2?

“What a remarkable job, taking the second part and delivering an incredible conclusion to the story,” Nolan said.

Nolan said, “If, for me, Dune was like Star Wars, then Dune 2 is The Empire Strikes Back, which is my favorite Star Wars movie. I think it’s a great recap of everything that was introduced in the first film.” Is expansion.”

He added, “I was really impressed by the sense of immersion in that world.”

Nolan also shared, “This is a film that has a lot of unique images, a lot of things you’ve never seen before in this movie, time and time again, and I was very impressed with the detail of everything.”

Based on the second part of Frank Herbert’s 1965 science-fiction novel, “Dune: Part Two” follows Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides as he joins the Freemen and attempts to liberate the galaxy from the Harkonnen Empire , who is responsible for his father’s death. Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux join the original cast of Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd.

The film’s predecessor, ‘Dune: Part One’, received ten Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won awards for original music, sound, film editing, cinematography, production design and visual effects. The first film grossed over $400 million at the global box office.

As Deadline reports, Villeneuve shared that he plans to begin filming the third installment of the film franchise based on Herbert’s ’69 novel Dune Messiah in late 2025 or 2026.
