New Delhi: The much -awaited romantic drama Sierra, starring debutant Ahaan Pandey and Aetit Padda, hit theaters on Friday, 18 July and took the stock to the box office. The film recorded a strong opening, with effective of Rs 20 crore on a day 1.
Built by Mohit Suri and produced under Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, Seara is already being designed for its emotional depth, powerful performance and ghostly beautiful music. The story follows a persecutor composer played by Ahaan Pandey, who finds treatment and love through a kind journalist painted by Aetit Dadda.
The film has compared to comparing romantic plays such as Rockstar and Kabir Singh, but is praising critics and audiences for its unique voice and heartfelt story telling.
Many celebrities resorted to social media to praise the film. Telugu superstars Mahesh Babu, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, and others called Siara “a beautiful film with an honest story”.
Filmmaker and producer Karan Johar also appreciated the film in a emotional post on social media. “Tears flow and still a sense of immense happiness,” he wrote, expressing how the film gave birth to her love for cinema.
