There is hardly any Indian who is not a fan of the prestigious crime chain CIDThe show, originally aired from 1998 to 2018, made a comeback in December last year. But this return came with a shocker – ACP Preduman, a lovely character played by Shivaji Satam, is written out of the show, which has broken fans.
In place of Shivaji Satam, it is Parth Samathan, which will now be seen as ACP Ayushman. The news of the replacement initially provoked a backlash from the loyal fans of Shivaji Satam.
Now, in a heartbreaking turn, Parth shared a video from the set of CID on her Instagram stories. In the video, Parth and Shivaji Satam hold their hands for some time.
In his caption, Parth wrote, “Shooting with ACP Preduman aka Shivaji Satam was a joy and entertainment. A man’s gem.”

Earlier, the manufacturers officially announced the death of ACP Preduman’s character. In a post shared on X (East Twitter), Sony TV confirmed the news with a simple but emotional message: “ACP is not Preduman.”
He also shared a picture of Shivaji Satam in the character and wrote, “In the love of ACP Preduman … a loss that will never be forgotten.”
The fans were clearly upset with the decision of the manufacturers to write Shivaji Satam CIDThe commentary section was filled with criticism, despair and emotional tribute.
