Excited about returning as Tommy Shelby, the recent Oscar winner said, “It feels like Tommy Shelby isn’t done with me… It’s very satisfying to be working with Steven Knight and Tom Harper again on the film version.” peaky blindersThis is for the fans.”
Harper has previously directed such titles Heart of Stone, The Aeronauts And war and Peace; and is no stranger to Netflix original series, having directed the back half of the first season. “When I first directed peaky blinders 10 years ago, we didn’t know what this series would become, but we knew there was something explosive about the combination of cast and writing. Sick “This has always been a story about family – and so it’s incredibly exciting to be reuniting with Steve and Cillian to bring the film to a worldwide audience on Netflix,” Harper said.
Plot details and further casting are currently under wraps. The film will begin production later this year based on a script by series creator Steven Knight and will be made in association with BBC Film.
