Globally renowned British music band Coldplay’s upcoming Ahmedabad concert on Republic Day on January 26 will be live streamed on Disney+Hotstar. The concert, part of his Music of the Spheres World Tour, is scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“Leveraging its massive reach and cutting-edge technology, Disney+ Hotstar will stream the concert in stunning quality, delivering an immersive and immersive experience that delivers the dynamic energy of a live performance directly to the audience. Creating a true #ParadiseForAll, the experience will extend beyond the concert, offering customers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band,” a press release from Disney+ Hotstar said.

In the statement, Sanjog Gupta, CEO, JioStar – Sports, said, “Our partnership with Coldplay reflects our commitment to bringing iconic cultural experiences to audiences across the country. By leveraging our advanced technology and unmatched reach, we are breaking down the barriers of privileged access to premium entertainment, and making it available to all, fostering a shared celebration across the country.

In the announcement shared by the platform, the band’s lead singer Chris Martin said, “Hello to all our friends in India. We’re happy to announce that our show from Ahmedabad on January 26 will be live streamed on Disney+Hotstar, so you can watch it from anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us – we’re so excited for you to visit our beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”

Notably, Coldplay will also perform at the same venue a day earlier on January 25. The shows are part of Coldplay’s ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour, which has been a global sensation since it began in March 2022. The tour is now the most attended in history by a group performing tracks from their album “Music of the Spheres” as well as new songs from their upcoming release “Moon Music”.

The India leg of the band’s tour will begin on January 18, 19 and 21 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai, followed by Ahmedabad shows on January 25 and 26. Interestingly, the band has also released the name of a mystery guest for the upcoming shows in India and speculations are rife that it is none other than Oscar-winning Indian legend AR Rahman.

The upcoming tour will be Coldplay’s first visit to India in eight years. The Grammy-winning band had previously performed in Mumbai as part of the Global Citizen Festival in 2016.

The Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025 began on October 30, 2024 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia and will end with a show at Wembley Stadium in London, UK on August 31, 2025.
