The TV host and comedian Connon O’Brien will return to the Dolby Theater for the 98th Oscar on March 15, 2026.
The announcement has come from Bill Kreer, Academy’s CEO, and Janet Yang, Academy President, who also confirmed the return of Amy-Vigor producing team AT Mulraj Kapoor and Cannes, who will lead the show for the third consecutive year, reported the variety.
Using his signature humor, O’Brien said in a statement, “The only reason for the Oscar hosting next year is that I want to hear my speech to Adrian Body.”

O’Bheen’s return is another milestone in television and comedy for decades of career. Currently, he hosts the podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” and the HBO/Max Travel Series “Connon O’Brien Must Go” and will feature in the upcoming feature film “IF IF I Heads Legs I Kick You,” Variety.
The 98th Academy Awards will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 15, 2026, ovation from Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
