Conor Leslie set to lead horror-thriller ‘Arkangel’

Actor Conor Leslie, best known for playing Donna Troy in the DC show ‘Titans’, is set to lead the horror thriller ‘Arkangel’. The Hollywood Reporter.

She is reuniting with the show’s screenwriter Bryan Edward Hill, who is making his directorial debut with the film. It will be screened at San Diego Comic-Con next week, with Hill and Leslie in attendance. Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Abu Dhabi are behind the film, which marks the rise of a new horror superpower.

His two previous films were “Watcher,” a thriller directed by Chloe Okuno and starring Maika Monroe, and the microbudget horror smash “Late Night with the Devil,” which became IFC Films’ highest-grossing opening weekend film of all time and grossed over $10 million domestically.

‘Arkangel’ is about a privately funded organization involved in research into the possibility of life after death. It is targeted by an ancient power that wants to prevent humanity from understanding the true nature of the supernatural.

The film stars Greg Hovanessian, Alicia Ochse, Azure Parsons and Trevor Riley. It is produced by Roy Lee and Steven Schneider of Spooky Pictures, Derek Dauchy of Image Nation and Julius Pryor and Hill of Kevlar Creative. Executive producers include Ben Ross and Rami Yassin. A panel at Comic-Con will offer a first look at “Archangel,” with Schneider joining Hill and Leslie, who previously appeared in “The Man in the High Castle.” Artwork from the graphic novel will also be on display.
