Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma War 2 has landed in warm water after sharing Kiara Advani’s bikini image from teaser, as well as with a controversial comment that many people have slammed as indecent and aggressive. The comment triggered backlash on social media, inspiring Verma to remove the post from his official X handle (East Twitter).
The teaser for War 2 was released on Tuesday, and the enthusiasm was high – until Verma posted an image of Kiara in a bikini from the teaser with the caption:
“Instead of our countries and societies, if there is a war between Hrithik and Junior NTR, then who gets BK, then 2 AB*Buster will be.”

Crude comment left fuming to social media users. Bachalash was sharp and intense, in which many netizenses were calling the sexist language of the filmmaker.
A reddit user reacted, “What is the real f ***.” Another comment, “And this is what he is saying publicly … can you imagine how he is privately?”

After online resentment and extensive criticism, Ram Gopal Varma quietly removed the post, possibly felt the boundary of backlash.

Amidst the controversy, Kiara Advani focused his focus on the release of the film. Taking her Instagram stories, the actress expressed her excitement for War 2, listing several “first” project Marx in her career.

In War 2, Hrithik Roshan played his prestigious role as Kabir, now faced against a mysterious new opponent played by Junior NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the film YRF is the second installment in the war franchise of the Universe and promises high-octane action and drama.
The war is set to release in theaters in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on 2 14 August.
