New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Crew was one of the most successful films in recent times and it broke all barriers at the box office by grossing Rs 157 crore at the worldwide box office. While everyone is excited about the film even after its release on OTT, Bebo’s mother-in-law and Bollywood veteran Sharmila Tagore also joined the bandwagon.
The veteran actress heaped praise on the film starring her daughter-in-laws Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon and said that the movie is unbelievably absurd.
Talking about the success of the crew in her latest interview, the veteran diva called the film entertaining and said, “It’s absurd, of course, beyond belief, but there’s this adventure going on between three women. One is landing a plane, one is cracking a safe, doing all kinds of things together and the camaraderie between the three is excellent because they say a woman is a woman’s worst enemy, it’s not the case here.”
Sharmila even said that the success of Crew would lead to better roles for women, “Crew has done very well. The three women are doing all kinds of wonderful work and it has done well at the box office. This will encourage many filmmakers to make women-centric films.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan is doing one film at a time and the diva is proving her versatility with each film. The actress will be next seen in Hansal Mehta’s murder mystery The Buckingham Murders.
