Ananya Panday in ‘CTRL’
Ananya Panday plays a content creator in Vikramaditya Motwane’s new thriller. CTRLStreamer Netflix officially made the announcement on Monday.
Presented as a cutting-edge thriller about our growing dependence on technology, CTRL Ananya Panday plays Nela Avasthi and Vihaan Samat plays Joe Mascarenhas, a romantic couple who create content together and are loved by their internet audience. The press note reads, “But what happens when they are separated? In a world where data is power, how much sharing is too much?”
CTRL Written by Motwane and Avinash Sampath, the film’s dialogues are written by Sumukhi Suresh.
Talking about the film, Pandey said in a statement, “CTRL It’s interesting, impactful and definitely makes you think about whether you can really take control of your life. I truly believe this film is for everyone, as technology is advancing at a rapid pace and our dependence on it is increasing.”
Vikramaditya Motwane explained, “With the amount of time we spend on our devices, screen time is now redefined as screen life! The question is, do we really have control over all the digital extensions of our lives, or are we being controlled? That’s the answer CTRL tries to explore.”
CTRL It will premiere on Netflix on October 4.
