Netizens are praising Bhumi Pednekar’s comeback performance and saying that the series has managed to keep them engaged.

One user wrote, “How can someone stay so attractive on screen? #SamaraTijori nailed her role in #Daldal – definitely a star in the making.”

Another said, “One female actor who has always chosen the path less traveled and yet has built a stellar reputation for herself is #BhumiPednekar. A powerful artist whose body of work is extremely diverse. #Daldal is another feather in her brilliant cap. Amazing acting skills.”

A third user said, “#BhumiPednekar delivers an honest performance portraying a complex gray character with internal conflicts, while #SamaraTijori and #AdityaRawal leave a strong impression, especially in the vulnerable moments. Overall, Swamp is engaging and layered, but uneven – worth a watch if you enjoy psychology-driven thrillers, though it doesn’t satisfy as completely as a classic crime thriller.”

Another user wrote, “Bhumi Pednekar is excellent in #Daldal. The series is intense, well written, and one of her best performances. Must watch Daldal on #AmazonPrime. Talents who stand strong for people even off-screen truly deserve appreciation.”

about the swamp

The story revolves around ACP Rita Ferreira, played by Bhumi Pednekar. Rita is a strict and disciplined police officer for whom work is everything. She rarely smiles and hides childhood trauma associated with her strict mother’s upbringing.

The story takes a turn when the police commissioner promotes four women officers, including Rita, to the post of DCP. Promotion is largely based on appearance and public image, which soon complicates matters. As more murders occur, the pressure on the police force increases, and the investigation turns into a race against time to uncover the truth.

Daldal is based on author Vish Dhamija’s novel Bhindi Bazaar.
