New Delhi: Daljeet Kaur took a leap of faith and married businessman Nikhil Patel for the second time, but this time too, fate had other plans. The actress’ marriage did not last even a year and she is now in the process of divorce from her second husband.
Being a woman and a single mother, this is a tough phase for Daljeet. Amid reports of her divorce with Nikhil Patel, the actress spoke about the injustice she faced in this entire scenario.
Dalljiet wrote a cryptic post on her Instagram Stories, in which she questioned those who saw the wrong, as there have been many judgements about her second divorce. The post read, “At the end of this road, the real question will be who saw the wrong, realized it was wrong, told me it was wrong, and felt bad that it happened in the first place, and also had the courage to stand up for me”.
The actress further wrote, “Even I want to see what happens next in this journey and who were the ones who stood by me and who were the ones who chose the convenience of being on both sides. I am letting God decide the way forward. And letting the universe show me the truth of everyone around me.. whether it was a relationship of years or one year… I want to see if humanity had a chance”.
Daljeet alleged that Nikhil cheated on her and has another woman in his life and even indirectly criticised Nikhil on her social media. Nikhil asked Daljeet to stop mudslinging and confirmed their divorce to E Times, saying, “In January this year, Daljeet decided to leave Kenya and return to India with her son Jayden, which ultimately led to our separation.
We both realised that the foundation of our blended family was not as strong as we had hoped, making it difficult for Daljit to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Although it had cultural significance, it was not legally binding. The purpose of the ceremony was to reassure Daljit’s family about his move to Kenya”.
Daljeet had earlier broken up with TV actor Shaleen Bhanot in 2015 after he accused her of domestic violence.
