New Delhi: After actress Daljeet Kaur levelled several allegations against her second husband Nikhil Patel within a year of their marriage, Nikhil has finally spoken up. Daljeet accused Nikhil of having an extramarital affair and not legalising their marriage. Now Nikhil Patel has reportedly released a lengthy statement in which he has accused the actress of verbal abuse and even claimed that he tried to reconcile.
Nikhil claimed that he set up a work order for Daljeet in Kenya and tried to reconcile, but the actress was not ready to give up her celebrity status. She also accused him of verbal abuse and alleged that he cyberbullied their daughter. In his latest article, Nikhil even said that they were not legally bound, and it was a Hindu ceremony only for his parents and family as he was still legally married to his first wife. “This is something that Daljeet has deliberately left out in her chosen story; she was in no way mislead about my married status.”
He further claimed that Kaur’s actions had mentally affected his teenage daughter, “My teenage daughter is a young woman, and Daljit’s actions have put her under immense mental, social and psychological pressure.”
Nikhil’s statement further read, “While I take responsibility for my actions in this scenario, it is important that Dalljiet recognizes that calling me a “cheater” and claiming I had an “extramarital affair” is hypocritical, as she was comfortable living with me in Kenya while she knew full well I was still legally married. Over the past eight months since Dalljiet and Jaden left Kenya, I have found myself the subject of intense scrutiny on social media.”
Daljit decided to withdraw Jayden from his prestigious British international school in Nairobi just four days into the new term. He then informed my eldest daughter via voice note and sent messages to my friends, announcing his intention to leave Kenya forever and return to India. For several weeks after Daljit left Kenya, I remained in touch with him and we communicated daily, where I was often verbally abused on video and midnight phone calls. I did my best to tell him to repair our relationship and kept the matter private. I asked him to return to Kenya so we could be a family again and resolve our differences.”
Daljeet has now lashed out at Nikhil and exposed all his false claims, “Calling our wedding an event is shameful… in India it is called a wedding. I have given nothing but love to Aari and I will love him till the end of my life. What you did to Jaden is an untold story, but not for much longer.”
In fact, this accusation and counter accusation will worsen the current situation between Nikhil and Daljeet.
