A dream begins where another ends. In damies play Filter coffee ,
Satvik Ramaswamy Iyer (Sridhar) is a tenant in the house. Ramaswamy runs a coffee shop, where he serves South Indian filter coffee. Sahasra and Priya went to the spare room in the rented part of Satvik, assuring the traditional, conservative Ramaswamy that they are moving only for convenience until they find another job. One day, sings ‘Lord Lakshmi Barmma’, rejecting the net for millennial jobs. Satvik sings with him. Priya (S. Aishwarya) dances the jatis of Satvik. Dreams start here.
The youth hit the idea of a band, which they name filter coffee. The stage for his band is Ramaswamy’s Stad Coffee Shop. They re -prepare the dull shop, and it becomes a draw with young and old. Ramaswamy is a happy man, as sales increased. But the band decided to go out of his house and stopped playing in his shop, as they are now in great demand. They rent a large office, accept booking and do not have time to make their own calls. But success brings friction and ego clashes with it. The band finally realizes that as long as the music remains a soul-satisfactory art, it brings peace. But when it becomes a commercial discovery, naturally, all the problems of any commercial venture surface. The election is their – do they want to go commercial, or not? This is the centuries-old question-art for art, or art as a payment proposal.
Satvik (South) did a great job, whether he was worrying, playing Jibs of Sahasara, while he was courting his girlfriend, looked foolish, or when the band lost a music competition. R as R. Gayatri was terrible with her singing and her drool banquet. Dance segment-classical, modern and folk (including Kawadi and Silumbum) were well choreographed by Shruti. Music by Dakshin, who music director V. Dakshinamurti is as grandson, was delightful.
