Dance Deewane 4 Finale: Nitin and Gaurav win the show and cash prize of Rs 20 lakh

Nithin NJ from Bengaluru and Gaurav Sharma from Delhi were declared the winners of the reality show ‘Dance Deewane’ and were given a cheque of Rs 20 lakh. Called the ‘Parivar Ki Grand Finale Party’, the party saw the winners perform to the songs ‘Hai Rama’ and ‘Roop Suhana Lagta Hai’ from the 1994 action film ‘The Gentlemen’.

The top six finale contestants were – Taranjot and Kashvi, Chanveer and Chirashree, Yuvraj and Yuvansh, Harsh and Devansh, Varsha and Shrirang, and Nitin and Gaurav. The finale began with dance queen and judge Madhuri Dixit Nene dancing to the song ‘Khoya Hai’.

Emotions reached a crescendo when the other judge Suniel Shetty sang the immortal song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from JP Dutta’s war film ‘Border’. His rendition moved everyone, making the tamasha even more emotional. Adding to the excitement, Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan rode the wave of finale hype to promote his upcoming sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’.

Kartik attended the grand finale and the contestants danced to songs filmed on him, such as ‘Dil Chori Sada Ho Gaya’, ‘Coca Cola Tu’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Bomb Diggy Diggy’. Talking about winning the coveted trophy, 19-year-old Nitin said: “Winning this dance battle, which featured the most skilled dancers from four generations, is like a dream come true. I thank our contestants for cheering us on and celebrating this win as if it was their own. This reflects the true essence of our family.”

When Nitin and Gaurav were paired on ‘Dance Deewane’, little did they know that their chemistry on stage would make them known as dancing heroes of the North and South. Reacting to his win, 22-year-old Gaurav said, “I salute my parents and gurus who trained me and recognised my potential.

I am deeply grateful to Madhuri ma’am and Sunil sir for honing my dance skills under their guidance. It was an honour for me to dance for my family who watched me from their living room every week.” From day one, their shared passion for killer moves made Nitin and Gaurav get on like a house on fire and they became the most loved second generation dancers, delivering energetic hip-hop hoofers and even performing edge-of-the-seat dance stunts.

Commenting on the show, Madhuri said, “Many of their performances were masterpieces and I am sure their artistry will continue to amaze the world. Their journey has celebrated an art form that is very close to my heart. It has been a joy to watch them grow as artistes. As they lift the trophy this season, I am sure they will inspire generations with their moves.”

Sunil said: “It was indeed a fantastic finale. Congratulations to Nitin and Gaurav for showing their ‘deewangi’ for dance and taking over the stage with incredible performances leading up to their victory. I am proud of their journey and thank them for sharing their gift with the world through this show.” Bringing full-on entertainment, the trio of Krushna, Kashmira and Sudesh from the show ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’ made the ‘Dance Deewane’ family laugh out loud with their antics.
