Ryan announces Knives Out 3 title
On Friday, Ryan teased fans about a new announcement by posting a Pokemon egg and writing ‘Oh?’ Fans immediately knew about the new announcement. The director also has a job to direct a mystery series called Poker Face with Natasha Lyonne, so fans were left wondering what he was announcing.
He then wrote, “I love everything about whodunits, but one of the things I love most is how flexible the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum, from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making a Benoit Blanc film,” adding, “We’re about to go into production on the third film, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint about where it’s going.”

He soon shared a 45-second video that referenced the first two titles and revealed the third. Daniel gives a voiceover saying, “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, look, the glass was broken. But my most dangerous case is yet to unfold,” as the title card Wake Up Dead Man pops up on the screen. While nothing is known about the Netflix feature yet, fans are already excited to see what Benoit has in store for them next. The film will be distributed by Netflix as part of a two-sequel deal with Ryan. Wake Up Dead Man will release in 2025.
About Knives Out, Glass Onion
The first installment, Knives Out, saw the death of Harlan Thrombey, a respected crime novelist, on his 85th birthday when Benoit investigates. Glass Onion featured them vacationing on a deserted island after an invitation from tech billionaire Miles Braun, who also invites his friends and one of them dies.
