Daniel Day-Lewis has retired from acting after seven years and will return in a film directed by his son

Daniel Day-Lewis is coming out of retirement for a film directed by his son Ronan Day-Lewis, seven years after his last film.

Daniel Day Lewis accepted the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Lincoln at the 85th Academy Awards in 2017.

The project was announced Tuesday by Focus Features and Plan B, who are partnering on Anemone.
