David Grohl of the band Foo Fighter has gone viral for his comments on Taylor Swift at the London Stadium on Saturday. During her concert, Grohl attacked American pop sensation Taylor Swift as he accused her of not singing live during her concerts. Taylor is currently performing at various stops in London as part of her London Eras Tour. Fans of the singer-songwriter reacted to Grohl’s dig at Taylor’s ability to sing live during a stadium-packed concert.

Grohl criticizes Taylor’s concerts, says ‘we actually perform live’
The Foo Fighters founder referenced Taylor’s Wembley Stadium concert while headlining his own concert. During his performance, Grohl alleged, “I’ll tell you, man, you don’t want to incur the wrath of Taylor Swift.” He mocked the Folklore singer and called his tour the “Errors Tour,” a reference to Taylor’s tour name, The Eras Tour. He then explained why he renamed the Eras Tour, “We’ve had more than a few Eras, and more than a few f**king errors. Just a couple.”
Grohl also took a dig at the 34-year-old singer’s singing abilities, saying she doesn’t perform live at her concerts. He said, “That’s because we actually perform live. What? That’s all I’m saying. You guys love raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You’ve come to the right place.”

Netizens defend Taylor after Grohl’s comment
Swifties left no stone unturned in defending their idol on the internet. “This is very weird behavior, as it was a very unprovoked statement,” one user wrote.
“This woman lives on everyone’s mind for free,” another user wrote.
Another expressed disbelief, noting that Grohl and Taylor had always been on good terms, “Was that actually an insult to him or was it just a play on words?? Because last time I checked there was no feud”.
One user wrote, “It wasn’t fair at all but she got the crowd excited. I went on the Eras tour and to say her band wasn’t playing or she wasn’t singing live is just not right. It feels like an unnecessary bashing”, while another wrote, “I love Dave and the Foo Fighters. I love Taylor Swift too. I hope he was joking because this was unnecessary and inappropriate”.
While a Grohl fan on Reddit felt Swifties’ criticism was harsh and ‘for something I don’t even think was serious’. “Dave has met Taylor and I doubt there’s any animosity. Wow clickbait.”
