Good

An X user wrote after watching the film, “Deadpool and Wolverine is as exciting as you’d expect. It manages to keep the same tone as the previous films with super funny jokes and a story that will make you laugh and cry. Hugh Jackman gives one of his best performances as Wolverine and the film has several great surprises that thankfully don’t affect the course of the story.”

Another posted, “Just watched Deadpool and Wolverine and it was a love letter to Marvel’s comics and its characters from start to finish! It was so much fun!!! Trust me, skip ahead. Don’t spoil yourself. The trailer gave us nothing (red and yellow heart emoji).” “Needless to say, Deadpool and Wolverine really rocked! Ryan and Hugh gave it their all, the R-rated action is still as bloody as it was before, and while the cameos were present, they felt like they fit the story pretty well. Yes, big implications are coming! (eyes emoji),” another said.

“Deadpool and Wolverine far exceeded hype!! It moves seamlessly from a nostalgia cameo to a genuinely sweet and emotional tribute to the Fox era Marvel movies. It’s crazy how much was hidden. The most fun MCU movie yet. Shawn Levy’s action is a blast too,” another post read.

“Deadpool and Wolverine is a great win for the MCU. A thoroughly enjoyable film full of humor and heart, and lots of fun surprises. Hugh Jackman is incredible and gives another amazing performance as Wolverine. Get excited, the MCU is back,” another said.

bad

However, not everyone on the internet was impressed with what they saw. One x user even called it ‘one of the worst movies of the year’. “This is literally so bad I couldn’t believe it,” another wrote, “I love movies that are made for cameos with no plot and absolutely no idea where to put the camera.” A third user called it “an eyesore from start to finish.” Another summarized, “I love it when a Marvel movie hits the “masterpiece” post and then everyone who isn’t impressed with the MCU’s success collectively agrees that it’s mediocre at best.”

Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters this Friday, July 26th.
