Badminton (PSB )’s Padukone School, a badminton school, which was founded by actor Deepika Padukone and her father, Indian badminton veteran Prakash Padukone, has expanded its operations up to 75 centers in 18 Indian cities within a year since its inception. This news was announced by Deepika on Tuesday (June 10) on her father’s 70th birthday.
Deepika shared a picture with a press release on her Instagram account to announce the news.

According to the statement, PBS, funded by Deepika and Prakash, has established coaching centers in Bengaluru, NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Pune, Nashik, Mybuar, Panipat, Dehradun, Udaipur, Koimbator, Sangli and Surat. The school aims to scale to 100 centers by the end of the year, and up to 250 by the end of the next three years.
“As someone who plays the role of badminton, I have experienced for the first time how much this game can give a life to someone’s life – physically, mentally and emotionally. Through PSB, I hope that we can bring badminton’s joy and discipline to people of all areas of life, and can build a generation that is a healthy, more attention, and said,” Deepika said.
Meanwhile, Prakash Padukone said that the game is an integral part of growing up. He said, “It creates discipline, flexibility, and a winning mentality that extends well beyond the court. With PSB, our goal is to nurture quality coaching accessible and cheap, grassroots, and set a strong base for the future of Indian badminton,” he said.
The press release further states that the purpose of the badminton school is “to democratization of quality and access to cheap badminton coaching, which provides opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels.”
“Developed under the guidance of Prakash Padukone, through its standardized, scalable coaching method, the organization wants to introduce a nationwide community of school children and working professionals for sports. It aims to empower aspires with certified training and sustainable career paths,” the statement says.
