Paris: The Indian film fraternity on Friday congratulated Aman Sehrawat for winning a bronze medal in wrestling at the ongoing Paris Olympics. Actor Randeep Hooda congratulated Aman and wrote to X, “Finally wrestler #AmanSehrawat!! First and only medal in wrestling at Kasuta Games #Bronze Youngest individual medal winner #Paris2024 #Olympics.”
Actor Riteish Deshmukh shared a picture of Aman from the match and congratulated him for winning the bronze medal. “Congratulations #AmanSehrawat!!! Another bronze medal for India,” he wrote on the post.
Actor Pulkit Samrat also praised Aman. He wrote on his Instagram story, “Congratulations @amansehrawat057.”

Olympic debutant Aman Sehrawat secured the medal with a 13-5 win over Puerto Rico’s Darian Cruz on Friday, India’s first wrestling medal at the Paris 2024 Games.
After the win, Aman spoke to ANI and said that he still cannot believe that he has won a medal for his country.
Aman said, “I am very happy and I still cannot believe that I have won a medal for the country in the Olympics… I was expecting a gold but I am happy even with the bronze medal…”
The 21-year-old wrestler said it was a ‘speechless’ moment after standing on the Olympic podium. The youngster further added that his next goal is to prepare for the 2026 Asian Games and the 2028 Olympics.
He said, “It was a speechless moment for me when I stood on the podium… My next target from today will be to prepare for the 2028 Olympics and the 2026 Asian Games.”
During the match, the Puerto Rican wrestler initially gained the lead by securing a point with a single-leg hold. However, Aman came back strongly and scored points by targeting the shoulders of Darian Cruz.
Darian Cruz took a two-point lead before Aman regained control. With 37 seconds remaining, Aman scored the extra point and won the bout by technical superiority after Darian Cruz made a desperation attempt and lost another point.
