Deepika Padukone steals the show with Kannada recitation at Diljit Dosanjh’s concert; Watch

Bengaluru: New mother Deepika Padukone stole the show at Diljit Dosanjh’s Bengaluru concert on Friday and fans can’t stop talking about it.

The ‘Piku’ actress, who made her first public appearance post pregnancy, not only attended the concert but also joined Diljit on stage and gave him a quick Kannada recital, which has taken the internet by storm.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Diljit spotted Deepika in the audience and gave her a warm shout out before calling her on stage.

Diljit said, “We have seen her on the big screen, she is very beautiful. She has made a place in Bollywood on her own. You should be proud, we are all proud.”

Deepika added to the excitement by dancing with Diljit on his hit track ‘Lover’.

However, the highlight of the evening was when she taught Diljit how to say “Naanu Ninige Preethistini” (I love you) in Kannada, upon his request. Many videos of their conversation went viral on the internet.

On Diwali, Deepika and Ranveer introduced their daughter to the world by naming her ‘Dua Padukone Singh’ with a meaningful message.

The couple wrote, “Dua: Which means prayer. Because he is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude.” The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their first child, a daughter, in September. 8, 2024.


Deepika and Ranveer announced the birth of their child with an emotional post, in which they expressed their gratitude and excitement while acknowledging the joy of becoming parents.

As far as their work front is concerned, the pair were last seen on screen together in Rohit Shetty’s police drama ‘Singham Again’, where Deepika played the role of the fiery Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham .
The film stars a powerhouse cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar.

Meanwhile, Diljit will continue his ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’ in other cities including Indore on December 8, Chandigarh on December 14 and Guwahati on December 29.
