Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, recently in the headlines for her maternal journey, now finds herself at the center of a growing storm which includes two major films – Spirit and Kalki 2. After being demolished by Sandeep Reddy Wanga’s soul, Deepika is now rumored to be on the chopping block for the cucumber 2898 for the highly estimated sequence of Nag Ashwin.
While the actress has not commented on the matter, conflicting internal reports and online Bakbak shook speculation on her future in the project.
Director Nag Ashwin allegedly reconsider Deepika’s role
A new report in Telugu 360 claims that director Nag Ashwin is considering replacing Deepika Padukone from Kalki 2. The sequel is asked to include the role of a meat for her character, but the report states that Deepika is being “hell” about her working conditions, making it difficult for the production team to cooperate. The primary anxiety, as stated, revolves around his reluctance, be flexible with his schedule – a factor that is reportedly making him a “big headache” for the team.
There has been no official confirmation from the actress or production house about her alleged removal.
Production source refuses any results yet
Unlike the dramatic claims, sources close to production have denied the rumor that Deepika has already been dropped. Talking to NDTV, an interiors clarified, “They (Kalki 2 manufacturers) have not even contacted the actors because it is still in development. There is no shoot, no conversation, and therefore, there is no result.” This shows that the entire cast including Deepika is still under consideration as the film continues its planning phase.
Deepika’s exit from soul and Sandeep Vanga’s sharp reaction
Earlier this year, Deepika was removed from Sandeep Reddy Wanga’s film Spirit, allegedly a low-work garland, due to her demands for a high salary, a high salary and profit-sharing. Wanga took on social media to criticize Deepika’s approach. In a strong word post on X (East Twitter), he accused her of breaking a “unsaded NDA” and called her alleged “Dirty PR Games”.
“When I tell an actor a story, I believe 100% … Is it standing for your feminism?” Wanga questioned in his post, further said, “You didn’t get it. You will not get it. You will never get it.” He concluded with a sharp excavation using Hindi: “Khudak Meen Billy Khaba Noche!”
After his reported out, Triptai Dimri was confirmed to join the soul’s artists.
While speculation continues, Deepika’s team has maintained silence. For now, fans are waiting for an official term whether she would be part of Kalki 2 or will make it to a new leading woman once again.
