Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8. Last month, the actress made her first public appearance with daughter Dua. The mother-daughter duo was photographed at Mumbai airport on Friday morning. Deepika was wearing a casual dress.
This year on Diwali, Deepika and Ranveer shared the first picture of their daughter and revealed her name. She captioned the post, “‘Dua’: Means a prayer. Because he is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude. Deepika and Ranveer.”
The couple announced the birth of their first child – a baby girl – through a social media post. They shared a joint post with a note, which can be easily read. “Welcome baby girl. 8.09.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.” Within no time the comments section of his post was flooded with congratulatory wishes. Priyanka Chopra, who co-starred with the pair in Bajirao Mastani, commented, “Congratulations” with a heart emoji. Alia Bhatt empties her bag full of red heart emoticons. Kareena Kapoor commented, “Congratulations to mom and dad from Saifu and Bebu. God bless the little angel.” Mom-to-be Masaba Gupta dropped red heart emoticons. Arjun Kapoor’s comment read, “Lakshmi has come. The queen is here.”
ICYDK: The couple who started their relationship on set Ramlila in 2013 and married in 2018, announcing her pregnancy earlier this year.
On the professional front, the last few years have been quite busy for Deepika, with her recent films including Pathan, Jaawan, Fighter, Kalki 2898 AD and Singham Again.
Ranveer Singh is currently working on Aditya Dhar’s upcoming espionage thriller, which stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna.
