Ahmedabad: Allu Arjun, from Chiranjeevi to Junior NTR, many celebrities have expressed deep grief over the loss of life in the tragic accident of London-Bound Air India flight in Ahmedabad on Thursday, with 242 people on a ship.
Taking in X, Allu Arjun expressed his heartfelt condolences and wrote, “The heart broke the heart by the tragic Ahmedabad Air India Flight Crash. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Their soul can rest in peace.

London-bound flight, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel crashed from the International Airport immediately after takeoff, climbed in a hostel of doctors in Meghani Nagar area in Ahmedabad.

Expressing grief over the tragic incident, Chiranjeevi said, “Hearing about the horrific tragedy incorporating the flight #AI171 from Ahmedabad to London.

Got deep from the tragedy, Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to Instagram stories to share his grief. He wrote, “These days remind us how delicate life is really. So many expectations, so many dreams have gone in an instant, only by breaking heart and sorrow. It is difficult to understand the devastating news of the Air India plane crash. No one can start imagining pain and trauma.
Rashmika Mandanna also expressed grief and said, “Heard about the tragic Air India flight accident near Ahmedabad today, and it really shaken me to its origin … to take flights on everyday basis and then it is close to you … and it is so scary … My heart goes out for all passengers and especially their families.”
Dular Salman also posted a message of support on his Instagram stories. He wrote, “Heartfelt hearing about the Air India accident. Can’t imagine what the families of all the victims are doing. Praying for all of them in the time of this attempt.”
According to an Air India statement, Boeing 787-8 aircraft, working as Flight AI -171, departed from Ahmedabad at 1:38 pm with 242 people with crew.
“Udaan, which left from Ahmedabad in 1338 hours, was taken to 242 passengers and crew members in Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian citizens, 53 are British citizens, 1 Canadian National and 7 Portuguese National. The airline said in a statement.
The aircraft was under the command of an LTC Captain Sumit Sabarwal with an 8,200 -hour flight experience. The official said he was assisted by the first officer Clive Kundar, who had a 1,100 -hour flying experience. According to the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft left for the runway 23 to 1339 IST (0809 UTC).
It gave the ATC a day of May 1, but after that, no response was given by the aircraft to the call made by the ATC. “Soon after departure from runway 23, the aircraft fell to the ground outside the circumference of the airport. The heavy black smoke was coming from the accident site,” the official said.
