Delhi HC rejected the ‘BA *** DS of Bollywood’ series after Aryan Khan’s direction to the defamation suit of former-NCB officer Sameer Wankhedi.

New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Friday heard the defamation suit filed by IRS officer and former NCB Mumbai Zonal director Sameer Wankhed against Netflix, Red Chilli Entertainment (owned by actor Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan), and “Bollywood’s BA *** DS” in other series. “

Case came before Justice Purushadra Kumar KauravSenior Advocate Sandeep Sethi appeared for Wankhede, while senior advocates Harish Salve and Mukul Rhatgi represented Netflix and red chillies.

Sethi argued that since the series was for the audience in the cities including Delhi, and the memes targeting Wankhedi were also roaming in the capital, the jurisdiction was excluded.

However, the court expressed reservation. Justice Kaurava said, “Your plaintiff is not able to maintain. I am rejecting your plaintiff. Did you case that you were maligned in various places including Delhi, and this maximum loss was done here, we will still consider it,” said Justice Kaurava.

Citing Section 9 of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC), the court said that the plaintiff did not properly determine how the civil suits would lie in Delhi, especially in paragraph 37 and 38. At the request of Sethi for time to revise the plaintiff, the judge clarified: “I am not giving any date. Then the hearing took place.

Wankhede has proposed to donate to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, alleging that a permanent and compulsory prohibition of Rs 2 crore has been demanded, declaration and loss. He said that the show eradicates public belief in anti -drug enforcement agencies by portraying a misleading manner.

The suit also highlighted a scene, where after reciting “Satyamev Jayate”, a character makes a porn middle-finger gesture. Wankhede argues that it violates the prevention of insults of the National Honor Act, 1971 and attracts punitive results.

In addition, the plea claims that the Material Information Technology Act and the provisions of the Joint Code (BNS) of India (BNS) violate, which is using porn and aggressive material capable of annoying the national spirit.

Wankhede says that the series was conceptually conceptualized to discredit him at one time when he and Aryan Khan are pending before the NDPS Special Court in Bombay High Court and Mumbai.
