Delhi LG Winn Kumar Saxena sees Umrao Jaan at screening, it says

New Daleh: Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor, Jinn Kumar Saxena welcomed Rekha starrer ‘Umrao Jaan’ after watching his remaster version in theaters on Tuesday.

LG Vaini Kumar Saxena of Delhi participated in a special screening of ‘Umrao Jaan’ with his director Muzaffar Ali in Delhi. He was welcomed by the director at the screening of the Remastard Edition of the film.

Before watching the film, the LG of Delhi addressed the audience and said that he had seen Umrao Jaan, countless times due to his direction, story, songs and songs.
Vaini Kumar Saxena praised Umrao Jaan after the screening, called a “unique” film, which is difficult for filmmakers to make in today’s time.

“Umrao Jaan, which was made 44 years ago by Muzaffar Ali, has become such a unique film, which is very difficult to make in today’s time. This is the film in which every character has played the role of every character. Music, song, Disha, everything in this film is everything unique.”
LG also labels ‘Umro Jaan’ as Rekha’s career success film.

Rekha won the National Award for her errorless performance in the film as a courtesy-packet in the 19th century Lucknow. His beautiful dance performance on ‘Dil Cheese Kya Hai’ is still praised and remembered by filmophils.

On the occasion of the incident, director Muzaffar Ali called ‘Umrao Jaan’ “Timeless” and “Egless”.

While talking to Annie, he said, “I think the film is timeless, it is very infallible, it was for a time 150 years ago. Therefore, it was a film of a period, and it was true for the period. It is still alive and alive because it was a period. Director Ali also shared that he was ready to take Umrao Jaan to festivals and OTT platforms. Muzaffar Ali said, “I think we will take it to a festival route and then it will come in OTT.”
‘Umrao Jaan’ is a classic Indian period drama that has been adapted in two film versions. The 1981 version, line starring, is a cult classic and won four National Awards.

The 2006 version starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was not well received by the audience. Both films are based on Mirza Hadi Ruswa’s novel Umrao Jaan Ada.
It was re -released in theaters on 27 June.
