In the previous weekend, inside the packed OP Jindal Auditorium Auditorium in New Delhi, the stage published with energy, light and synchronized movement. Music touched a crasendo and similarly applauded. By the end of electrification demonstrations, the local team, 3Plus4crew not only won the hearts of the crowd, but also the national title.
The winners of the 15th All India Ke-Pop Competition 2025, 3Plus4Crew created history by becoming the first team to win the competition twice-an achievement that they first achieved in 2016.
Conducted by Korean Cultural Center India, the event saw a huge response from K-Pop fans across the country, which was attended by more than 1,278 teams. Finally, only three winners stood outside, 3Plus4Crew (dance), Hyderabad (Vocal) from Shile Pritam, and Rinia Taku to Itanagar (Rap).
Nitin Theo and Nikhil Noel founded the group in 2016 which featured seven youth college students. He has come a long way and developed in a 13 -member professional crew. “We are now a full-time dancer, teacher and choreographer. Now returning to the K-Pop stage after a decade is like coming in the full cycle,” says Nitin.
Most members of 3Plus4Crew are trained in styles ranging from hip-hop and jazz to open-style choreography. Many have taught or performed in reputed institutions in the country and abroad. Despite various programs, he won this year.
“Last year, we were not selected for the K-Pop competition and it gave us a tough competition. Later, we came in an interview, where choreographer Choi Youngjun mentioned how his inspiration for this choreography was rejected in the street fighter competition.
Rehearsal already started in the weeks, determining the routine time with long nights and to fit around the commitments of the work. The challenge was not choreography, but was coordinating the dancers. “It was not easy to balance individual commitments with intensive practice. Aligning our vision, energy and time took patience, but it made us strong,” Nitin recalls.
The crew will now represent India at the K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, South Korea, at the end of this year-an opportunity they missed narrowly after the 2016 victory. “Although we traveled to Korea, we did not find to perform in Changwon,” says Nitin. “This time, we not only expect to appear, but actually represent India. This is our dream.”
While his success story is a source of pride, the group has also faced doubts. Rishabh Negi says, “People often question why we basically follow our style.” “But for us, the dance is beyond the boundaries. K-pap is a language we have embraced-and we speak it with our rhythm.”
