Demi Lovato on aging

“Aging is something that, if I think about it too much, I start to get anxious — not because of how I look or what changes have happened to my body or face, but because I have an existential fear,” said Demi, who is making her directorial debut with the documentary.

He said, “I like living in the present moment. When we think about things in our past or future, we are not in the present, and presence is the greatest gift we can give ourselves.”

Documentary about the child star

The Child Star teaser features past and present footage of Demi, Drew Barrymore, JoJo Siwa, Kenan Thompson, Raven-Symoné, Christina Ricci and Alyson Stoner.

“This was a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a long time. I’ve always thought about learning the history of child actors, and also looking at different viewpoints and perspectives of being a child actor today,” Demi said.

For her part, she added, she’s “been very, very honest in the past, and I’ve shown this vulnerability throughout my life. I’ve shared a lot with people, and I’ve realized that my experiences don’t define me.”

The star further explained that as humans, “we always want what we can’t have. And so when we get older, we sometimes put pressure on ourselves because we’re not as young as we used to be,” reports People.
