Actors act
Jr. NTR has given a powerful performance in ‘Devara: Part 1’. He left no stone unturned to prove his mettle. He has made it clear that he is an impressive performer and seeing him on the big screen is nothing short of a visual treat. Jr. NTR plays a dual role and delivers a brilliant performance in both the roles of Devara and Vara. Saif Ali Khan shines as Bhaira
Saif Ali Khan shines as Bhaira. His portrayal of revenge is brilliant. This can be considered a commendable debut for him in Tollywood. Saif is effective in keeping the audience engaged for as long as he is on screen. If he had a little more screen space, he could have overshadowed Jr. NTR too. Janhvi Kapoor has less screen space. He played the role of Thangam in the film, played by Jr. NTR. plays the beloved role of She looks very beautiful, but she doesn’t get much chance to show her acting skills. Apart from this, the work of supporting actors Srikanth, Prakash Raj and Murali Sharma is impressive.
directing
The action sequences featured in the film provide extraordinary moments that can enthrall and excite the audience. These are also skillfully filmed. Apart from this, several dialogues are also deeply impactful, both of which strengthen Devara’s character. The story is entertaining, but cumbersome in parts. At many places you will already have an idea of what is going to happen next in the story. You will also see it paired with many other South Indian films. The biggest shortcoming of this film is that the story has already been decided. Kortala Siva could have improved some parts, especially in the second half, where the screenplay could have been more interesting. The first half is slow and the story gets a bit boring after the interval, but the climax is sudden, which feels shocking and bad. Moreover, some scenes also lack effective execution. If they were more polished, the story could have been more effective.

Shiv is both the writer and director of Kortala Deora: Part 1. In such a situation, the entire responsibility of improving the story has fallen on his shoulders. If his writing was good, his influence would have been seen in his direction as well. The story lacks emotional depth. Ratnavelu’s cinematography and Anirudh Ravichander’s music are excellent, which will give an unparalleled cinematic experience in many parts of the film. The action choreography is impressive. Overall the production value of Deora: Part 1 is commendable.
