‘Devika and Danny’ review: Ritu Verma impressed in her first web series

Telugu web series in the first few minutes Devika and DannyStreaming on Jio Hotstar, Devika Nandan (Ritu Verma) reveals that she lives her life within a 25 -km radius. She teaches music in a nearby village and is a young woman who is raised for her despite her reservation about a groom, thinking that she can follow the line selected by her father in the hope that some ‘adjustment’ will work.

Written by Deepak Raj and directed by B Kishore, it is a story of a woman’s age who breaks boundaries and in this process, her voice finds her voice. Devika is likely to take that the route is easy to gauge; Can’t stop it. The producers gradually reveal various cards of the story, which rely on the clear story. However, manufacturers opt for some convenient writing options that dilute the intrigue in later episodes. Harsha Camudu appears in a brief part that does not add value to the chain, but Gopraju Ramna, in his brief appearance, applies a character that establishes how generational patriarchy works. The inherent aspect of patriarchy and how Devika rises up, it is dealt with sensitivity and the right amount. Shiva Kandukuri gets a decisive character which may have more scope in the coming season.

Whereas Devika and Danny Makes for an easy watch, once the major plot point is revealed, the conspiracy deteriorates. For the next season, the story will need more.
