Justice Graminathan and V. Laxminarayanan’s summer holiday bench directed advocate Vijayan Subramanian to receive instructions from producers by Thursday, as the film was slated to release in theaters on Friday (May 16, 2025).

The time was given during the hearing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition, which sought a direction to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to cancel the sensor certificate, until the producers would not remove the song ‘Kisa 47’, allegedly had objectionable references to the phrase ‘Govinda, Govinda’.
Later in the day, Mr. Subramanian said that the manufacturers had decided to mute the objectionable tune and remove parts of the song. After recording his submission, the judge postponed the hearing on Friday to represent the statement, representing the PIL petitioner, representing the PIL petitioner.
What was the petition of the symbol?
In his affidavit, the petitioner, 49 -year -old MGD Balaji, a lawyer from Old Washmanpet in Chennai said that he was a follower of a devout Hindu and Vaishnav tradition. He said that he had recently come in a press meat youtube video for actor Santhanam’s upcoming film, which is popularly known DD Next LevelWhich is scheduled to release in theaters on Friday.
Subsequently, he heard one of the songs of the film and found that the songs were borrowed from a popular devotional hymn, titled ‘Srinivas Govinda, Srivansitsa Govinda’, which was sung under the praise of Lord Venkateswara, the presidential deity of the Tirumala Tirupati Temple. He complained that the song was used in the song “very strange and inappropriate references”.
Stating that his religious sentiments were hurt, the petitioner said, the word ‘Govinda’ was also used in a condemnable way in the song. He expressed surprise on CBFC, issuing a U/A certificate for the film without emphasizing the removal of the song with such objectionable contexts.
