A law student is no different from his peers, yet every step is designed to feel different. Staring at Dhadak 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripipti Dimari, there is not just a love story- it makes you think that makes you fall into deep thoughts, and forces you to question your privilege. A spiritual sequel to Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter starrer, the film offers a chilling depiction of caste discrimination and inconvenience of living inequality.

Create 2 Plot, Storyline

Set at a law college in Bhopal, Shazia Iqbal’s direction brings life to realities. The background may seem familiar- Nilesh, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi, belongs to a marginalized caste and meets a girl of the background ‘Privilgad’ background in Ecollage. They fall in love, but remind their differences and cruel reminiscent of society that “they are not the same”- push them differently.

Nilesh’s mother, from the police to slapping Nilesh’s mother, was negligent, black paint on her body, and her father was being tampered with- the film forces you to face injustice that many wrongly believe that she was left in the past. It catches a feeling with painful accuracy: “If it is not done to you, it does not mean that it still does not exist.”

While the first half creates the foundation of the love story, the second half holds you with rawness and intensity.

Dhadak 2 stars and their performance

The film’s main attraction is Siddhant Chaturvedi’s unprecedented performance. His hesitation, his silent wires, suppressed anger- all speak. In the scenes where he is brutally beaten or broken quietly, his pain becomes the emotional core of the film. And when he finally realizes that he should fight for existence, you cannot help for dignity, but can be rooted for him.

Triptii Dimri well proved. She depicts a woman to torn between love and obstacles of social expectations. His outbreak is impressive at sexism, honor and family pressure, although this is not his strongest performance.

Who is the villain?

There is no unique villain in Dhadak 2. The opponent is the system. Saurabh Sachdeva plays the role of a person who considers himself responsible for “cleaning society” (cleaning of society). However, he leaves a permanent impression. His line “Cleaning Samaj” Sends a chill to his spine below.

Meet Assistant Artists of Dhadak 2

Supporting artists are entitled to appreciation. A moment is worth noting when Saurabh hears the character of Sachdeva that Nilesh lives in Bhima Nagar and leaves his tea mid-Sip-a scene, which stings. Zakir Hussain, who played the role of Principal Haider Ansari, also gained weight in the story.

Even amidst heaviness, there are moments of humor such as when Nilesh persuades a barber to pose in front of the principal as his father, earn a brief, real laughter.

The soundtrack is pleasant by interesting Kohli, Tanishq Bagchi, Javed Mohsin and Shreyas Puranik, but fails to add emotional depth to the story. This does not measure Seara’s music enough.

final call

One of the film’s downside is that you want Saurabh Sachdeva’s character more, his presence is powerful, but very brief. While some scenes race your heart, others feel a bit very approximate, where you can understand what is coming next.

The main message of the film rests in its poignant tagline: “Aaj Aaj Aaj Apna Ho Na Ho, Kal Hamara Hai”.

Dhadak 2 does not let you go away comfortably. From a senior suicides to the finals, a symbolic passing of a pen from Ronal to Nilesh- it highlights tears, anger and reflection.

The film cannot be correct, it has incomponions, but it boldly keeps a mirror for our society and asks: what are you choosing to ignore?

The extreme is running unexpected and deeply. You are upset … and that’s absolutely the matter.
