Dheeraj Kumar Funeral: The actor performed the last rites in Mumbai; Ashok Pandit, Tina Gai paid the final honor

Mumbai: Veteran actor, director and television producer Dheeraj Kumar, who died in Mumbai on July 15, was cremated on Wednesday afternoon.

His funeral was performed in the presence of family, friends and members of the film and television fraternity in the Vagaji Bhai Wadi crematorium in Mumbai.

Among those who attended the funeral to pay their honors were filmmaker Ashok Pandit, actress Tina Gai, actor Deepak Kazir and many other celebrities and close family members.
Filmmaker Eshok Pandit expressed grief over the death of the late actor, “He did so much work in films, he did big shows in TV industry, and he made big films. However, one aspect of his life who did not know about people did not tell his social work. With his disadvantage.

On Wednesday morning, family members along with close friends gathered at Dheeraj Kumar’s residence to offer their final honors.

Veteran actor Raza Murad recalled the late actor, “He earned an honor with fame. He lived a good life and was a very simple and good person. He achieved his position by working honestly …”
Actor Tarun Khanna said, “No one can fulfill the loss of industry today. Dheeraj ji had a powerful and progressive thinking. Today, people like us are living a living by portraying the role of Lord Shiva. But Dheeraj ji created such programs long ago.”

Producer Asit Kumar Modi said that this is a “great disadvantage” for the TV industry. “… The television industry has suffered a big loss with Dheeraj Kumar’s death. I am very surprised because I met him a week ago …” he said.

The actors were allegedly struggling with pneumonia and were undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The mortal remains of the actor will be taken from the hospital to his home to visit Antim on Wednesday morning. Dheeraj Kumar’s contribution to the entertainment industry gave birth to decades and various media.
He had a long and respected career in both film and television.

Dheeraj Kumar started his journey in the entertainment industry in 1965 and acted in more than 21 Punjabi films between 1970 and 1984.

In Hindi cinema, he was known for his roles in films like ‘Swami’, ‘Heera Panna’, ‘Ratan Ka Raja’, ‘Roti Capada and Maken’, and others.

Kumar also left a strong impression in television. The actor founded the production house Creative Eye, known for his mythological and spiritual TV shows, including ‘Om Namah Shiva’.

His work in this space recognized him to bring Indian cultural stories to the audience across the country.
