Mumbai: Despite the ongoing controversy around his film “Sardar G3”, actor Diljit Dosanjh has chosen to remain calm and focused. While the debate continues online, the singer-actor has maintained a dignified silence, with no signs of being affected by backlash. The recent Instagram post of the ‘UDTA Punjab’ actor is proof of that. On Wednesday, Diljit took his Instagram handle to share some of his photos, in which he was seen getting out of the swag.
In the paintings, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ actors appear to sit and pose in their grand private jets. In a clear shots, clad in white kurta pajamas, Diljit Dosanj, proudly is seen provoking his signature mustache. Along with images, he wrote, “Smashing records to Sardar G3 abroad.” Despite the controversy over casting Pakistani actor Hania Aamir – “Sardar G3” is still doing well at the box office – “Sardar G3” to ban by Western India Cine Employees (FWIS) after the Pahgam attack.
Although the film has not been released in India due to this issue, it earned a strong amount during its early weekends, mainly due to great response from the audience in Pakistan. The makers of “Sardar G3” have revealed that the third film has collected an impressive rupee in the franchise led by Diljit Dosanjh. 18.1 crore globally within just three days of its release. Punjabi comedy has allegedly set a new record in Pakistan by becoming the most open Indian film in the country. Amidst ongoing controversies, many celebrities have given their support for Diljit Dosanjh.
However, some including television actress Rupali Ganguly have taken a separate stand and publicly criticized her. Shortly after the release of the film’s trailer, the Federation of Western India Cine employees issued a letter to filmmaker Imtiaz Ali to urge Diljit Dosanjh to separate all the associations along with Diljit Dosanjh.
The letter reads, “Your participation risk to send a deep conflicting message, especially as a director who known as a director known as a director … Therefore, we are strongly appealed to you to rethink your cooperation with the heart -winged friends and have come back from joining with any artist, who are excluding from our industry.
