New Delhi: Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh found herself at the center of a political storm after confirming the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his upcoming film ‘Sardar Ji 3’. The trailer shared by Diljit on social media widely retreat from the Indian film associations and neti, especially in view of the Pahgam terror attack and the Indo-Pak tension after India’s Operation Sindoor.
Although the film will not be released in India and the trailer remains geo-furious in the country, the reactions of industry leaders have been strong and incapable. Casting is being called “anti -national” online by many voices and in the film fraternity.
Ashok Pandit, president of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), strongly criticized Hania Aamir’s casting.
In a quotation from Hindustan Times, he said, “We had previously written a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and he refused to give it a certificate. I had also seen Hania’s tweets during the time of Operation Sindoor. The binding Pakistani lover.”
Fwice issues strict warnings
BN Tiwari, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), also issued a warning, stating that not only Diljit, but also the producers of the film could face the ban. He said, “Diljit SE with the producers of the film – everyone will be blessed and boycotted the car Denge India Mein, Dabara film Nahi Bana Pynen … songs and everything,” he told Hindustan Times.

Regeneration of Pakistani artists is banning
The dispute revives the ongoing tension between the Indian entertainment industry and cross -border cooperation. Recently, Indian platforms also banned Instagram Access for Pakistani celebrities like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan and Ali Zafar. The image of actor Mavra Hocaine was digitally wiped out with the poster of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ on the music streaming app.
Meanwhile, ‘Sardar Ji 3’ is set to release abroad on 27 June.
