Mumbai: TV actor Shoaib Ibrahim, on Wednesday, took the fans on social media to update the fans on the health of his wife, Dipika Kakar after 14 -hour surgery for Stage 2 liver cancer.
She expressed her gratitude for her support received and assured everyone that Deepika is now in a stable position as she begins her recovery journey. Taking his Instagram stories, he shared a note in which he wrote, “Hi everyone, sorry, I could not update you last night, it was a long surgery. She was in OT till 14 pm. But Alhamdulillah, everything went well. Dip is currently in ICU. Once you pray for him.”
On June 3, Deepika Kakar underwent 14-hour surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. Earlier, on June 2, Shoaib Ibrahim shared on his Instagram story that his wife had to undergo a major surgical process as part of his treatment plan. “Dippy surgery is going to take place tomorrow morning. It is going to be a long surgery … he needs all your prayers and the most strength … please keep it in his prayers,” Shoaib wrote.
In a Vlog, posted on his official YouTube channel on 15 May, Shoaib Ibrahim revealed that Dipika came to know about a liver tumor about the size of the tennis ball. He mentioned that further tests were going on to determine this in case of development cancer.
Shortly after, Deepika confirmed the diagnosis, announcing that she was struggling with Stage 2 liver cancer. The actress of Sasural Simar shared that she was one of the most challenging periods in the last few weeks that she and her family had ever faced.
Deepika was read in an excerpt from Kakar’s post, “As you are all aware of the last few weeks, it has become quite difficult for us … walking in the hospital for pain in the upper area of my stomach … and then finding a tennis ball -shaped tumor in the liver and then finding that the tumor is one of the malicious (cancer) of the second stage.
