Director EMC Joseph says that ‘Misha’ examines the colors of gray in male friendship

Amy joseph Misha There is an Ode for friendship, but the Saccharine is different from ‘bros before everything. The film, which is released on August 1, is about two friends and their binding up. The relationship between two friends, from a very different social background, oscillates between different emotional states, the most basic love (not romantic) and hate as they learn to live with each other’s choice, often misunderstand their objectives. Although the film examines the grace of a friendship, there is an inherent goodness for them among the characters. Cosmic toxic masculinity is absent.

Haqqim Shah, Kathir, Jio Baby, Sudhi Koppa and Shine Tom Chacko Headline MishaThe film takes places from the quiet coast to the intense forest with its wildlife-where the characters face a pleasant side. The quarrel between humans and animals represents war within the characters because they face their true feelings. The latter of the film, as it moves towards the climax, the metaphor is heavy.

,Misha The male is about friendship, whose essence I think is thin. Male friendship has been reduced together and for ‘happiness’. There are many ‘friends’ – virtual, gym, rider, college, office friends. I am talking about a handful of friends with whom we have an emotional relationship. And such bonds come with commitments – deeply emotional – and I am talking about them Misha,“Emy says.

An interview portion

Right actor

Casting is the most important thing when I make a film. Sun Ettan (Venjaramudu) received the Kerala State Film Award for my first film, which made me very happy. I want to continue that high, and I hope one of the actors of this film will get an award as they have all done very well. He has performed brilliantly. I was particularly that all actors/characters should ‘perform’ in it. Although the characters I have written have an arc, clarity comes when ‘body’ (actor) moves. The character grows with their arrival, not on the set but during pre-production discussions. I do not discuss the character on the set, I tell them what they should not do. At the end of the day, the directors cannot become a character, give it a body. He can only do an actor. And often, when the actors carried forward the performance, I can only think as a director … ‘Wow! I did not think about it in this way! ,

so, Misha Is other ‘friendship’ different from films?

In addition to love and affection in friendship, there may be a dash of jealousy, anger and even passion. Disappointment that our friends did not work in the way we expected from them. These are emotions that will be absent in pre -mentioned ‘passive’ friendship, although deep bonds will have all these feelings. Ego for that case too … This is the kind of friend and friendship we are speaking in the film.

What happened for it [Meesha],

Inspiration came from real -life events, of course. There is this thing I wanted to show – male ego that behaves us like we are unaffected by emotions. We proudly rotate our mustache. My effort is to offer a glimpse behind the pretense of being egoistic and indifferent, male can be deeply emotional, feel disappointed, and there may be sadness when it comes to friendship. Acrades are celebrated in male friendship, although it has many other layers like any other relationship. Like we do with our mothers, wives or children … When we talk about our friends, we feel like emotions.

This is not something that we often see in Malayalam cinema-not a friend’s friendship.

Yes, there are some films in the space that talks about the grace of male friendship. Amidst those films that talk about celebration, there is friendship, Misha Is different.

A view from Delicate

Are you a social supervisor, like a film is made Delicate Also inspired by a real -life phenomenon?

I think all of us who live in this world are social observers, we are seeing what is happening around us. We can not live otherwise, if we do not and are unaware of what is going on, we will be irrelevant to others – our words, thoughts and actions. We are over time because we inspect our surroundings. I want to make films that are socially relevant. I do not want to preach, it is showing people a mirror.

Can we expect further?

I am not sure if it would be my next film, but it will be at some point. Had it been so, it would have returned the films back.

Are you a person who likes to make films back to back, or would you like to speed up yourself?

I would definitely like to do so. It is important that I get the subjects that I want to make films. However, I would like to make films close to each other and this can happen now because I have some scripts ready.
