The Superman movie will be released in theaters next summer.
Director James Gunn has completed shooting one of the most anticipated films of the DC Universe for 2025. The final shooting of the new Superman film with a new face has been completed. The proud director shared the news on social media and praised everyone involved. The film will premiere in theaters in the summer of 2025.

And the end of Superman has been announced by James Gunn
James shared the news of finishing the shooting schedule for Superman on social media on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He posted a photo of the Superman cast from the set and expressed his gratitude to everyone involved for their belief in his work and ideas, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
In an emotional post on the micro-blogging site, he wrote, “And it’s done. God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity and hard work have brought this project to life. I set out to make a film about a good man in a world that isn’t always so good. And the goodness, kindness and love I encountered daily on set inspired me and motivated me to keep going when I felt I couldn’t keep up with myself.”
He also talked about his visit to the sets of Superman which was full of emotions and laughter. He shared the “magic” created on the sets with the exchange of creative ideas and views. He wrote, “Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s been an honour. Manzil Mil Gayi Hai SupermanBut this journey has been one of hard work and laughter and emotions and ideas and magic that we have shared together on set – and for that, I will always be grateful. He further wrote about his journey on the sets of Superman.

Superman will be released next summer
The next Superman will see David Corenswet as the new face of the Man of Steel, previously played by actor Henry Cavill. Rachel Brosnahan will play Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor. The film will be the first feature film since Gunn and Peter Safran became DC’s new bosses.
Superman will release in theatres on July 11, 2025.
