New Delhi: Tejas Deoscar’s gripping trailer has taken the audience captive across the country for the ground zero unveiled this week. Viewers are thinking about the striking change of Emraan Hashmi in BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. The film is winning the heart and creating a discussion for its authenticity – from military precision to emotional depth.
The trailer has been appreciated for Hashmi’s raw depiction and stating the vested story.
Directed by the film’s Helmsman Tejas Deoscar, Deomoscar shared insight into the process of making this authentic film and how the actors and the crew supported the BSF to ensure accurates in every detail.
“Whenever we do stories and movies on the armed forces, we make sure that the information we present, and the protocol needs to show us on the screen, accurate. So, we certainly seek help from the organization. In this case, it was BSF,” he explained.
Another way is that the crew ensured accuracy that it was through the direct involvement of the person whose story is film based – Commandant Narendranath Dhar Dubey.
“Mr. Dubey was very much involved from the beginning. And his subordinate, Binu was also involved. Therefore, while constructing the entire script, we were in constant contact with him,” Deozar shared. “Whenever we were in doubt, we used to ask him, and he politely provided us with details – the nuances of things – which we could include.”
Deoscar insisted that when the development of the script was inspired by literature and reference material, the verification came from Dubey himself, who inspired the extraordinary film. “To prove this, we always had to go back to Dubey. And I think we are blessed that he was always available to help us.”
The director revealed that the BSF had also appointed a contact officer who was constantly with him.
“We were shooting in Srinagar, Kashmir at the actual BSF bases,” the director remembered. “During the shooting, he visited several times. The BSF also appointed a contact officer who was always with us, directing us how soldiers, operations, ranks and even greetings to be portrayed correctly.”
Every detail, Deoscar insisted, was treated with great respect. “We ensured that we did not reveal the Gaurav of BSF in any way. His way, his protocol, his name – everything was carefully handled. And Dubey himself was, who gave us peace of mind that we were getting the right recognition.”
