New Delhi: Actress-producer Divya Khosla took to her social media handle to pay a heartfelt tribute to Tisha Kumar, daughter of T-Series co-owner Krishan Kumar. Tisha, 20, breathed her last on July 18, 2024. She was reportedly battling cancer.
In the caption of her tribute post, Divya wrote: Tisha you will always be in our hearts, gone too soon @tanyasingghofficial May God give you strength to overcome this most painful loss #tishaakumar #OmShanti
T-Series had earlier released a statement on the sudden unfortunate demise of Tisha Kumar, which said, “Tisha Kumar, daughter of Krishna Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness. This is a difficult time for the family, and we humbly request that the family’s privacy be respected.”
According to media reports, Tisha was suffering from a life-threatening C-series disease and her family took her to Germany for treatment. She died on Thursday.
Tisha’s funeral took place on Monday (July 22, 2024) in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebs including Riteish Deshmukh, actress Sai Manjrekar, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan, Kartik Aarya, Anil Kapoor and the Nadiadwala family arrived to pay their last respects.
Krishan Kumar, who had an unsuccessful acting career in the 1990s, took over the management of T-Series after the death of Gulshan Kumar in 1997. Later Gulshan’s son Bhushan Kumar took over the control and is currently the chairman and managing director of T-Series.
